The Baseball team made quick work of a doubleheader at Northampton Community College, winning games of 9-1 and 11-0. The Dukes scored 3 in the fourth, 4 in the fifth and added two more in the seventh inning to take the first game. In Game 2, Cumberland exploded for 7 first-inning runs on their way to the shutout win. The Dukes improve to 28-5 overall and 14-3 in Region 19 play.
Cumberland will welcome in another big test at home this Tuesday when they host Mercer County Community College. The visiting Vikings are the 14th ranked team in the nation for NJCAA Division II. The Dukes edged out Mercer by a score of 5-4 in the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season.
