Braig leads Cumberland to 4-game Sweep over Bucks

VINELAND - Zach Braig drove in five runs on four hits to lead the Dukes past Bucks County Community College 18-7 on Saturday. Braig tripled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and hit a home run to right field in the second inning, scoring two.

Dmitri Santiago earned the win for RCSJ-Cumberland . The hurler gave up one hit and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Josh Cloud pitched three innings in relief for the Dukes. The hurler gave up one hit and two runs (zero earned) while, striking out five and walking two. Cam Visconto took the loss for Bucks County Community College. The righty went one inning, allowing seven runs on six hits, striking out none and walking two.

RCSJ-Cumberland amassed 17 hits in the game. Braig and Schoppe each collected four hits for the Dukes. Schoppe went 4-for-5 at the plate and led the team with six runs batted in. Rob LaGuarina, Cole Shover, Kory Jenkins, and Willis each collected multiple hits for RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball 2026. RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball 2026 had patience at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Lou Hanna and Chase Montgomery led the team with two bases on balls each. RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball 2026 stole four bases in the game.

In Game 2, Connor Stratton was dominant on the bump, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in RCSJ-Cumberland's 9-0 victory over Bucks County Community College on Saturday. Stratton allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings while walking two.

Leadoff hitter Zach Braig led the Dukes with two hits in three at bats. Bognanni, Braig, and Cole Shover each drove in two runs for RCSJ-Cumberland. Marino led RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball 2026 with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. The Dukes ran wild on the base paths, amassing three stolen bases for the game. RCSJ-Cumberland were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.

In Game 3, RCSJ-Cumberlandsnatched the lead late in their 7-6 victory over Bucks County Community College on Sunday. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when Kory Jenkins doubled, scoring one run.

RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-0 in the second.  The Dukes took the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles by Jenkins, and Tyler Schoppe.  Otley Makosky earned the win for the Dukes. The starter surrendered five hits and six runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking one. Moore took the loss for Bucks County Community College. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, giving up one run on three hits, striking out two and walking none. 

The Dukes amassed 10 hits in the game. Jenkins provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led them with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Cumberland ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game. 

In Game 4, It came down to the wire on Sunday, as RCSJ-Cumberland grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 6-5, over Bucks County Community College. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth when Lou Hanna singled, scoring one run.

Hanna collected four hits in five at bats in the win. Hanna doubled in the seventh inning, doubled in the third inning, singled in the eighth inning, and singled in the fifth inning. Tito Perez earned the win for the Dukes. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none. Xavier Anglero stepped on the mound first for RCSJ-Cumberland Baseball 2026.
