VINELAND - The RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Mens Basketball team has had its fair share of tight contests so far this season, none closer than Saturday's matchup against Sussex Co.
The Dukes held a 12 point lead with just over 3 minutes left in the game before the Skylanders made a furious comeback to bring the game within one point with under a minute left. Jameel Purnell then took matters into his own hands with a fantastic drive to the basket for an And 1 basket to bring the lead to seal the game for the Dukes.
Purnell finished with 25 points and 25 rebounds to go along wiht 5 steals and 3 blocks. Vance Brown scored 20 points followed by Jamaal Davis scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Daelan Dickerson scored 10 points while corraling 5 rebounds.
