VINELAND - The RCSJ-Cumberland Mens Baskteball team continues to find ways to win close ball games. Despite trailing for most of the game against Luzerne County, the Dukes found the edge and never relinquished the lead as they earned a hard fought victory, 82-77.
Jamaal Davis led the Dukes with 25 points, 18 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Davis was clutch once again at the free throw line going 7-8 on the night. Jameel Purnell, Daelan Dickerson, and Vance Brown were also crucial in the effort as Purnell scored 17, Brown scored 17 as well, and Dickerson chipped in 15. Purnell also grabbed 18 rebounds to assist Davis on the glass. Ahzae'ah Woodard and Darell Newton provided important defense as Newton led the team in blocks with 3 and Woodard snagged 4 steals.
