Jameel Purnell receives National Recognition

VINELAND - A day after receiving the Conference Player of the Week award, freshmen guard Jameel Purnell, was recognized at the national level.  Purnell was named NJCAA Division 3 Mens Basketball National Player of the Week for the week of November 23.  In the only game prior to the Thanksgiving break, Purnell scored 23 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, blocked 5 shots, and had 5 steals in the 79-73 victory over Atlantic Cape on November 25.  On the season, he is averaging 18 points/game, 12 rebounds/game, 3 steals, and 1 block per game.
