Dukes fall in OT to Bulldogs
PARAMUS- In a season that has saw the Dukes men's basketball team drop many close contests, this past Saturday the team lost another heartbreaker. Going into the half, Cumberland led Bergen County by a score of 47-42. The Bulldogs would make their way back into the game, outscoring the dukes 42-37 on the 2nd half to end regulation all square at 84. In the overtime period, the Bulldogs were able to force turnovers and secure the win; outscoring Cumberland by a final score of 92-91. Bergen scored the go ahead basket with a 3-pointer with 4 seconds remaining in the game.
Ja'maine Davenport scored a season-high 34 points. Davenport also added 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Torey Harris added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jabirl Bowman scored 19 points and brought down 7 rebounds. The Dukes will host Montgomery County Community College on Thursday, January 26th at 7PM.
