Jayla Bowman finds her stride against Atlantic Cape
VINELAND - It's been an unexpected season for the RCSJ-Cumberland Women's Basketball team. With just one returner from last season's playoff appearing team, growing pains have become the story for the 2025-26 version of Dukes Women's Basketball.
"Growing" is just what Jayla Bowman is doing. The freshman from Bridgeton seems to have found her way in the paint as the leading rebounder for the Dukes as this past week she grabbed 9 rebounds against Passaic on 12/6 and 8 boards this past Tuesday against Atlantic Cape. Now it seems she's gaining some momentum on the offensive end after scoring a career high 18 points against Atlantic Cape.
Look for Bowman's star to shine even brighter as the season rolls along.
