Cross Country performs well at Nationals

VINELAND - Cross Country entered the NJCAA National Meet in Fort Dodge, IA with high hopes, especially the Women's team after placing 2nd at the Region XIX Meet.  When they woke up the morning of the meet, they were met with snow falling adding to the atmosphere of the National meet.

On the Women's side, Maricruz Cardoso led the Dukes with a finishing time of 27:04 and Monica Bishop was not far behind with a time of 27:44.  Marcela Perez followed with a time of 28:37.  Stephanie Gomez and Lyanne Rivera finished strong to complete the team score for the Dukes. This was the first time Dukes Women's XC submitted a team score in over a decade.

For the Men's, Vincent Bosco and Matt Tozer represented the Dukes well with strong performances.  Bosco led the way with a time of 33:45 with Tozer following him with a 33:54.
