Golf qualifies 4 members for NJCAA Golf Nationals
SCOTCH PLAINS - In their first regional match competing in the Team division, the RCSJ-Cumberland Mens Golf team competed well to see three of their six members qualify for the NJCAA National Golf Tournament in Chautauqua, NY (June 3-6, 2025).
Mateo Medina led the way for the Dukes with a two-day score 161 which placed him second overall for the tournament. Perry Stanger finished with a 172 and Carson Ippolito turned in a 2nd round 88 which led to an overall score of 175. Ashley Brag placed 4th overall in the women's division, an incredible finish for the first-year player.
As a returning All-American, Mateo Medina earned automatic qualification to the NJCAA Nationals on top of his qualifying score this past Tuesday. Joining him at the National Tournament will be freshmen Perry Stanger and Carson Ippolito who scored amongst the top individual performers at the Regional Championships. Ashley Brag was also a qualifier for the National Tournament and will join Ippolito, Medina, and Stanger in Chautauqua.
