Angel Smith named GSAC Player of the Week

For the first time in his career, Angel Smith of RCSJ-Cumberland has been named the GSAC DIII Men's Basketball Player of the Week.  Smith has been a steady interior presence for the Dukes this season. The Freshmen center from Bridgeton has endured some growing pains but has strived to improve his game despite the tough season for Cumberland. He was instrumental in the two victories for the Dukes against Camden County and Sussex County as he tallied a double double in each of the victories including the loss against 4th ranked Northampton.  On the week, Smith averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds per game to lead the Dukes to a 2-1 week.

Cumberland is back in action Tuesday, Feb. 7 as they travel to Ocean County for a 7 PM tipoff.
