Dukes defeated on the road vs. Passaic County
PATTERSON- After a lengthy home stretch for the Dukes men's basketball team, Cumberland traveled north to face the Passaic County Community College Panthers for a weekend matchup. The Dukes would fall behind early and trail the Panthers by 10 points at the half, 53-43. In the second half, Cumberland looked the narrow the gap but could not hold off the Passiac offense as they are outscored in the second half and are defeated by a final score of 94-81. Cumberland shot 48.3% from the field (28/58) and continued to shoot well from the free throw line as they went 20/28. Ja'maine Hawkins-Davenport would set a new season-high with 32 points on the day. Malachi Green scored 12 points and Angel Smith collected 10 rebounds.
