On August 21, 2019, Jonathan "JD" Dijamco was officially announced as Director of Athletics.
Jonathan has been a member of the Cumberland County College community since 2012 as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the Dukes Baseball Team. While a member of the baseball coaching staff at Cumberland, the Dukes have experienced unprecedented success by winning two Garden State Athletic Conference titles (2014, 2017), two region 19 titles (2014, 2017), and clinching a berth in the National Championship game in 2014. The Dukes reached the ultimate goal in 2019, by winning the NJCAA DIII National Championship defeating Rowan-Gloucester, 11-7. Cumberland has been ranked in the Top 10 of the NJCAA polls each year since 2014, and has held the #1 ranking for a minimum of 5 weeks in 2014 and 2017. Arguably, the Dukes have been the best NJCAA DIII Baseball Program in the country by having the most wins amongst all programs since 2014. Most importantly, a large number of Dukes Baseball players have gone on to continue their careers at the NCAA Level, many of them receiving full athletic scholarships. Lastly, 6 former players of the Dukes Baseball program have been selected in the MLB Draft since 2014 (2015 - Cody Stashak, Joe Zanghi; 2017 - Will Latcham; 2019 - Dan Goggin, Mike Miles, Jo Jo Rodriguez).
