Alvarez, Miro, and Cowgill Named to All-Region 19 Team

Sophomore Jasmine Miro earned First-Team honors for Region 19 Women's Soccer and freshmen Stephanie Alvarez and Danielle Cowgill were named to the All-Region 19 Third-Team.

Miro finished the season with a total of 23 goals, a career high and a school-record for goals scored in a season. Miro's best game came in her finale with the Dukes, scoring six goals in a 7-3 victory over Bucks County Community College.  Miro also finished her career at Cumberland as the all-time leader in goals scored with 32 and her 2014 season point total of 50 is also a season high.

Despite being under fire all season long, Cowgill was able to hold her own as the Dukes goalkeeper.  Cowgill finished the season leading the all NJCAA Division III goalies with 246 total saves on the season. Cowgill had 39 of those saves in a road loss at #1 ranked Brookdale Community College back on October 2nd.

Stephanie Alvarez, also third-team All-Region 19, transitioned between defense and midfield this season.  Alvarez led the team with 13 assists, accounting for 38% of the team's total assists on the season. Down the stetch, Alvarez got in on the scoring as well, putting three goals into the back of the net in Cumberland's final five games.
