Dukes Tally First Win of the Season

The Cumberland Womne's Soccer Program is now in the win column.  After a 3-1 victory over Salem Community College, a tired looking Dukes team smiled with a sense of relief. The win came behind two great performances from freshman Jasmine Miro and sophomore Adriana Pineda, who was playing in her first game of the season.  It only took Pineda one half to get her first goal of the year and Miro scored one goal in each half.  The second goal came with just 9 minutes gone in the second-half, as Miro shielded a Salem defender and spun toward the goal as a pass came from a teammate, giving her an open shot in which she burried in the back of the net.  With that win, the Dukes now sit at 1-4 and hope that good things are around the corner for them.  They will travel to Raritan Valley on Saturday for a 12pm start.
