Despite the final score, the Cumberland women eased to an 18-1 record Saturday afternoon after stifling Hostos' offense in the first half. Midway through the second half Cumberland held a 51-31 lead before turning to the reserves. Late buckets by Hostos cut the lead to ten but the damage was already done. The Dukes had a well-rounded performance as four players reached double-digits in scoring. Kyra Lunsford finished with a game high 20 points on 6 of 11 shooting from behind the arc and Tess Elder added 16 points, 12 of those coming from three-point land. Mackenzing Wimberg added 15 points and Alicia Cox chipped in for 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the charity stripe. Cox also dished out 5 assists and picked away 9 steals. Cumberland will resume GSAC action this Thursday when they travel to Lincroft, NJ to face Brookdale Community College.
