Rivera Named Comeback Player of the Year

At the 2011-2012 Athletic Banquet, Softball Player Desiree Rivera was named the year's come back player of the year. After sitting out the entire 2011 Softball season with a back injury, Rivera came back stronger than ever to help lead the Dukes in 2012. She rebounded to play in all 22 games this season, batting .302 in the lead off position and scoring a team high 24 runs. Rivera was also named the team MVP for the season.
