Cumberland County College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Giuseppe Lamberti as new Men's Head Soccer Coach.

After one of the most successful tenures in recent history, Giuseppe Lamberti joins the Dukes Family in hopes of building the Men's Soccer program. "It feels real good to be back," Lamberti said. "Just happy to get back into doing what I enjoyed, and winning made it much more fun".  Lamberti was hired as the head coach at nearby Camden County College in 2010 after serving as an assistant there under Tom Freeman.  From that point on, Lamberti hit the ground running.  He went on to win 5 Garden State Athletic Conference Championships, 5 Region XIX Championships, 5 Elite 8 appearances, 2 Final Four appearances, and 1 National Championship Game appearance in 2016.  2016 would be Lamberti's golden season as he would lead the Cougars to the No. 1 Overall National Ranking when they earned 18 wins on the season.

Joining the Dukes program did offer some risks as in 2018, Cumberland experienced a rather disappointing season. "Honestly I thought it was a big risk."  Lamberti continued, "Then I realized I can build up another program similar to what I did at Camden."  Overall, Lamberti would amass an impressive 105 wins to just 13 losses and 5 ties in only 7 seasons at the helm.  During that time, he would guide 30 All-Region performers with 5 student-athletes garnering All-American honors, a level of excellence Lamberti looks to bring to the Vineland campus. "I hope to bring the program to an elite level so that more students will want to attend Cumberland, get their degree, and move on to a 4-year college."

Cumberland County College Director of Athletics, Keith Gorman, could not contain his excitement on the hire. "This is a very exciting time for Cumberland Athletics.  To have a leader like Giuseppe join our family and lead our Men's Soccer program is incredible.  We look forward to having Giuseppe lead our student-athletes on and off the field and cannot wait for him to get started."

As a player, Lamberti starred at Camden County College serving as team captain for his entire career as a Cougar.  Giuseppe recently married his wife Stephanie in 2017 and are expecting their first child in February.
