Dukes Fall Short in First Round

After taking a 46-41 lead into the break, the Dukes fell short in the opening round of the Region 19 Playoffs to Bergen Community College 84-75. Freshman guard from Millville Khaliq Ford scored a game-high 30 points in the losing effort. Ford rounded out the stat sheet, adding 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Three other Dukes scored in double digits on the afternoon: Seth Hackett (16), Markevis Johnson (13), and Terron Mitchell (11). For the second consecutive year, the Dukes playoff dreams have ended in the first-round, finishing the season on a disappointing note, just one game below .500 in Region 19 play.
