Men Fall at Bergen

Men Fall at Bergen

After scoring only 19 points in the first half, Cumberland could not claw their way back in a decisive 86-60 loss at Bergen Community College Saturday afternoon.  The beginning of the game looked promising as Cumberland jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first five minutes.  From that point, the next fifteen minutes of action were characterized by poor shooting and untimely turnovers and Bergen led 36-19 at the half.  For Bergen, Larry Burroughs had a game-high 35 points and Ricardo Carroll added 17 of his own.  The Dukes had three players in double-figures: Dalton Sterling (17), Davonte Johnson (14), and Tyler Hillgrube (12).  The men will now travel to non-conference opponent Montgomery (PA) on Thursday night.
