Over the Hill

As the saying goes, the monkey is off their back. The Cumberland Men earned their first win of the season and eliminate that goose egg from the win column with a 86-49 victory over Sussex County Community College Saturday afternoon.  The Dukes jumped out to an astounding 23-2 start and led 42-17 at the half. Sophomore Tyler Hillgrube led the way with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals, but Cumberland had three other players reach double-figures. Rickey Williford added 12 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, and freshmen Davonte Johnson and Juwan Flowers chipped in for 12 and 10 points respectively.  The Dukes will host undefeated Brookdale Community College Tuesday December 11th at 7PM.
