On Tuesday afternoon, the Cumberland County College Dukes received the news that they were selected for the At-Large bid for the final spot in the 2019 NJCAA DIII Baseball World Series in Greeneville, TN.  The Dukes were the No.1 overall ranked team in NJCAA Division 3 for the final 6 weeks of the season and were ranked 4th or higher for all but the opening week of the 2019 season.

This will be the 3rd time the Cumberland Dukes will participate in the World Series, the first being in 2014 where they reached the National Championship game against Tyler Junior College (TX). In 2017, the Dukes fell one game short of returning to the National Championship, losing to Niagara County Community College (NY).

The at-large selection was implemented by the NJCAA back in 2017, which was the last time Cumberland reached the World Series after winning their second Region XIX Title.  The NJCAA Division 3 World Series is a double-elimination tournament and will be played on the campus of Tusculum College. Games are set to begin on May 25 with the National Championship scheduled to be played on May 29th with the "if" game to be played on the May 30.

The Dukes, the #3 seed, are scheduled to play the sixth seeded Century College Wood Ducks (MN) at 10 AM on May 25 and should they win, they will play the winner between Brookhaven College (TX) and Rockingham Community College (NC). All games will be livestreamed on NJCAATV.
