After sweeping a doubleheader against Delaware Tech on Saturday, the Dukes returned to Vineland for their first home game on Wednesday afternoon as they hosted the Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County.  Taking the mound for his second start of the season would be freshman righthander, Anthony Masselli.  Anthony dazzled the home crowd with a bevy of heavy fastballs that would hammer the mitt of catcher, Brian Gallante, who was also high school teammates with Masselli.  Masselli would put it 7 innings of work, striking out 12 hitters, and only giving up 1 earned run.  Major highlight of Masselli's day was that he took a no-hitter into the 7th inning before giving up a leadoff single in the inning.  He would complete the inning before giving the ball to Sophomore righthander, Jose Rodriguez.

Rodriguez would come out firing as he would strike out the side in the 8th and 9th innings to secure the victory for the Dukes.  Offensively, Cumberland would be led by Donnie Stone as he would go 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs.  Following his lead would be Dylan Scaranda (2 for 2, 2B, 2 RBI) and Ryan McIsaac (2 for 4, 2B, 3B, 1 RBI) as the Dukes would tally runs in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th innings before putting the Barons away with 3 runs in the 8th.

Cumberland will have a couple days off before hosting County College of Morris on Saturday, March 2 for a doubleheader starting at 12 noon.  They will host SUNY Adirondack on March 3 for a doubleheader followed by a single game versus Region XIX playoff participant, Delaware County, on Tuesday, March 5.
