Just a day before the Dukes leave for Tyler, Texas in pursuit of the program's national championship, Jordan Glover, Cody Stashak, and Jose Martinez announced where they will be playing baseball in 2015.
Glover, who had an outstanding season will continue his baseball career at the University of Delaware. Glover hit .395 on the season, with 62 runs scored and 64 runs batted in. He added 7 homers, 21 doubles, and swiped 22 bags. He was named to the First-Team in Region XIX.
Stashak signed an athletic scholarship with St. John's University. During the 2014 season, Stashak recorded a 9-2 record and an Earned Run Average (ERA) of 2.48. Tossing four complete games this season, he struck out 74 batters, good for a strikeouts per nine innings average of 10.19. He was also named to the First-Team for Region XIX.
Keeping with the trend, Jose Martinez, also a First-Team All-Region XIX selection, signed his National Letter of Intent with Saint Peter's University. Martinez hit .385 on the year and drove in 50 runs and crossed the plate 41 times. His .522 On-Base-Percentage was good for second best among all NJCAA Division III catchers.
