With a sweep over Middlesex County College, the Dukes made it a weekend sweep winning four games in two days. Cumberland pulled away in game 1 with a score of 12-1 and then did enough offensively in game 2 behind a very good pitching performance from Chris Seibert.
Sophomore Anthony Lopez hit 3 for 6 over the two game span, including a double and a triple. The triple he laced in the second game was his nation-leading twelfth of the year. Fellow sophomore Jordan Glover launched a two-run home run in the first game, his fifth on the season. Arturo Ocasio hit two for three in the second game with a double and an rbi.
The winning pitchers on the afternoon were Justin Geri in the first and Chris Seibert in game 2. Geri pitched 5 innings, recording five strikeouts and allowing no runs. Seibert scattered four hits and allowed one run in a complete game. He struck out four Middlesex batters.
